To those that care

I would just like to take up a few moments of time and a few Megabytes, to say a very big heartfelt thank you to all those in the worlds best village Iver Heath, who have shown that I am not alone in caring for Keran.

For legal reasons Keran cannot say very much at this stage about her present circumstance as this might prejudice her forthcoming trial, except that she has been deeply touched by all the support and messages of good will that she has. This means a great to her

Your kind words, cards, texts, e-mails, visits, etc over the last week has been truly, truly astounding! I should only speak for myself really, but I was worried that some people who did not know Keran and on hearing this horrendous allegation, would be quite appalled. Believing that where there is smoke there is fire, but it would seem most people have realised that it is steam and not smoke.

Because Keran has looked after around 200 children through Beavers and dozens of children as a Childminder and mum, it has meant you have all had time to develop your thoughts and feelings towards her.

The last 14 months have been a huge dark period, and I feel we have both had our views on the ‘system’ in this country changed so far. A lot of you know I have left the Police now, due in no small part to the way we have been treated, by the local Police, Social Services, and OFSTED, to name but a few. All seemingly on the words of an ‘expert’ (I use that term loosely) or two.

Well I am an expert on Keran and I would just like to say, your ‘EXPERT’ opinions are exactly that…’opinions’. And if there are any opinions that count, it’s the people of Iver Heath, our friends and family.

We have known we are not money millionaires (never lucky with the Lottery), but what we have found is we are Multi Millionaires when it comes to friends. With your help and support we will fight this wrong, and we will try to help others through this, just in case they don’t live in this marvellous place called Iver Heath.

You are all very special people and thank you again for your support from all of us. The show of support at court earlier this week with people taking the time of work and rearranging childcare meant so much. But to those that couldn’t make it and have shown their support in other ways it all means so much to us.

For example this website is another way of supporting us, and I would like it to become the main focal point for all your support, those that would like for something positive to come out of this, to show you care for Keran and carers (as there is very little for childminders, carers, Au Pairs, Nannies etc).

I have heard of many fantastic ideas that people want to show their support, from T-Shirts, Posters, Stickers, letters written, petitions, etc. We have a while to wait again now and apart from organising the fight against this awful allegation, I would like those that are keen to help, now start combining all this positive emotion and anger, to turn it into positives to help not just us, but others, as we are unfortunately not alone.

I propose we hold a meeting (date and venue to be arranged) to maybe take this Carers4Carers idea onwards and upwards. So anyone that can help with fundraising ideas, support ideas, etc, we can draw on their expertise.

Keran and I initially wanted to wait till this nightmare was over, but as we have sat pondering and researching we have found that there are others suffering as well. The system has taken 14 months to get to this stage, and still not handed over all the ‘evidence’ they have, so at this rate we could retire first before they can bother to deal with this. It is not fair for others to go through uncertainty, for months and months, when maybe we could help them.

My motto of my unit in the RAF was ‘Let Justice Be Done’. I hope that maybe it will be done finally sometime later this year.

Thank you again to all those that care and God bless you all, In a world gone mad, trust me when I say keep your family and friends close. They are more valuable than you can ever know.
