It's frightening in this day and age, and with the evidence of the children present, that this could happen.  It's a terrible miscarriage of justice.  We truly are living in a blame culture society.  May her release be imminent.

I am so sorry and incensed to hear of your plight. Feel assured that the vast majority of parents and carers out here support you wholeheartedly. We admire your courage and hope and pray you'll be back with your family and friends soon.

I think the powers that be seriously need to rethink the jury system in the UK. I once heard it said that a jury consists of 12 men and women who were too stupid to get out of jury service - I fear that's not far from the truth. The basic concept of "Innocent Until Proven Guilty" needs to be understood and accepted by every prospective juror and guilt must be proven beyond all reasonable doubt. I feel professional juries are the only way forward - consisting of intelligent and honest people who won't be overawed by the so-called expert witnesses.

I moved to Middle/George Green in November last year and have seen the yellow ribbons and posters on many occasions.  I have also seen posters in car windows and people wearing badges in support of Keran.  I have meant for many weeks to google 'We care for Keran' to see what it's all about but have always been side tracked.  However, after driving through Iver Heath today, I thought I must have a look as soon as I get in otherwise I will forget to do it again!  I have been on Maeve's support site and read the information on your site as well as read all articles I could find on the internet.

My thought and prayers are with you, your children and especially to Keran as this must be a terrifying and terrible experience for her, as if living with Maeve's tragic death while in her care wasn't a hard enough experience to go through.  I know I am a total outsider and do not know anyone involved in this situation however I wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you all.  I worked with children many years ago and know how difficult they can be at times, it takes someone very special to have as many supporters as Keran obviously has.  Keran's nature from what SO many people have written about her and her many years of caring not only for her family but for anyone lucky enough to have her in their life should surely count for something and I cannot believe that your wife has been convicted of such a terrible crime.

I'm sure this e-mail will be far from the amount of support which you and your family will need but I hope that you have some special people around you to help you through this time and that the children are coping as well as can be expected.

Once again, my thoughs and prayers are with you all.

The news of this travesty has touched the hearts of many.  Hold tight - it won't be long.  Wishing you every bit of luck in the world.

I pass through Iver Heath on the way to work everyday and have wondered for some time what the yellow ribbons were all about.   Today I checked the website. I had not heard of the case before, and was shocked to see we have another Louise Woodward/Sally Clark on our hands.  Does 'reasonable doubt' not mean anything any more?  Trial by jury is again thrown into disrepute, this is an absolute scandal.

I followed the Louise Woodward case very carefully and read a lot about SBS at the time.  I was absolutely convinced of her innocence, so was the judge, that was clear and the body language of the chief prosecutor showed he was amazed at the jury's verdict.  Experts can't agree, the juries don't understand the science and get confused and you end up with a miscarriage of justice

I trust Keran will get through this.  It must be real tough but she knows that there are thousands out there rooting for her.  There must be a change in the system and it sounds as if, once she's back, she'll be the one to lead the charge.   Good luck to you all.

I pass your HQ every morning and evening on my way to work. Today I decided I find out what "care 4 Keran" was all about.

One thing puzzles me is that the parents of the child did not take the child away when first time the problem arose, because the parents had trust and faith in Keran and knew Keran had the ability to take care of the child.

If I was the parent and continued to keep my child with Keran would only be because I know she is a good human being, kind and caring child minder.

I only wish I could do more.

I hope you don’t mind me writing to you but I have felt very moved by your story, which was highlighted to me by a friend.

Anyway I too am a childminder, and have been for three years now, before that I was a foster carer, and I have also run a Brownie unit similar to your scout unit.

I am deeply saddened by your story, we join this profession because of our love of children, and our willingness to help others, most of our daily routine is about caring and supporting other families! For this to have happened is tragic, and I am incensed that having read your wonderful husbands story in the newspaper I cannot believe that you have even gone to trial let alone been convicted. I can only send you my love and support, to you and your family, and wish you all the luck in the world with your appeal, you deserve it.

Good luck and keep smiling; you are a truly wonderful person.

I live in Iver Heath and have just found out what has happened. Can I please offer my hope and love to you as a family. This is obviously an injustice and I am so sorry for you and your family.

It makes me very sad when things like this happen to good honest people, and you will all be in my prayers.

I've just watched the programme on ITV.

It's plain common sense that if no bruising was found on the neck or body of the baby, then shaking of that degree is impossible.

Best of luck with the appeal. Karen looks like an easy target to get the case closed by the police and the justice (?) system.

New to the Internet and the father of a daughter with Learning Difficulties who was sexually assaulted if not raped whilst by a boy whilst in the care of a College when she was on a specialist course for students with learning disabilities, my first act was to look for a site providing care and support for carers to assist them in protecting those they are caring for.  This was because we felt neither: -
a) Social Services
b) The Police
c) The College
Nor those that are supposed to regulate any of them, carried out any proper investigation or indeed any real investigation at all.

To put it bluntly they did little, if not bugger all about it and seemed to care even less.

However your lead page "Keran is Innocent" immediately attracted me to read further.

The experience that rang my bell for want of a better expression was that in our case the only thing the Police, the college or for that matter Social Services were interested in was covering their backs, not any real investigation, not justice, not prevention of further acts, nor finding out if it had happened to others and gone unreported.

It seemed that like in Keran’s case it was too much trouble and potentially politically dangerous to question children or those with learning difficulties.  This is obviously because they are being allowed to use the excuse that it is too difficult and they might suffer the at the hands of the politically correct lobby.

I say excuse because no intelligent police office, college personnel or social service officer should have any such fears.  Indeed if we are to protect such people including children, such officers must be able and competent to and carry out such questioning as is necessary to try to uncover the truth.

From what I have read of Karen Case it seems the only evidence taken was that of the so-called medical experts.  Courts and judges should be made to realise that such evidence is only opinion after the fact and ensure juries are aware of this.  No so called experts evidence should be automatically regarded as indisputable.  After all it is not long since the learned experts were telling us the world was flat.
